Storytelling
Listen and take part in folktales, fairy-tails, historical quests or popular classics. An interactive story session that ignites a curiosity to read more and create new stories. Suitable for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Suggested length 30 - 45 mins.
Story-Build
A class will create their own fantastical story! Working together they will explore story characters, settings and problems. They will justify their story ideas with reasons and be encouraged to ask questions, push their vocabulary, negotiate, evaluate and build on the ideas of others. Suitable for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Suggested length 40 - 60 mins.
Story-writing and performing
Children are given the tools and techniques to write and perform their own stories. Hypothesising and exploring ideas, children will begin to build a structured story framework. They will discover a range of story writing styles and find their storytelling voice. Suitable for KS1 and KS2. Suggested length 2 - 4, 90 min sessions.
